Mariah Carey Did NOT Dump Bryan Tanaka For Being Too Poor, Despite Report
Mariah Carey did not dump Bryan Tanaka because he was too poor for her, despite a ridiculous report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
The insane allegation comes from Life & Style, which claims the singer dumped Tanaka because, in comparison to her former partners, he wasn’t rich enough. According to the magazine, millionaire Tommy Mottola, Carey’s husband between 1993 and 1998, gave the star “her first taste of the luxe life.” The publication goes on to list Luis Miguel, Nick Cannon and James Packer, illustrating her archive of wealthy exes.
But Gossip Cop investigated, and a rep for Carey tells us the tabloid’s story is all “lies” and “ridiculous.” Meanwhile, another insider tells us, “these tabloids constantly make up headlines,” but entirely it’s untrue. What’s more, even though Carey has dated a number of millionaires, she didn’t split from Tanaka based on the amount of money he had. And if so, she wouldn’t have dated him in the first place.
Naturally, we’re not surprised by the outlet’s sensationalized story. Earlier this month, Gossip Cop called out the publication for falsely alleging Carey gave Tanaka $ 25,000 a month to buy her gifts. And shortly before that tall tale, we corrected the publication for wrongly claiming Carey gave Tanaka a life-size doll of herself for when she’s away. Neither report was true, and the same goes for this latest one.
