Simone Biles Gets Highest Score On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Premiere (VIDEO)
Simone Biles and partner Sasha Farber got the highest score on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” premiere. They did it with a tango to Tritonal and Cash Cash’s “Untouchable.” Watch the video below.
Before Biles’s performance, she talked about how “Dancing With The Stars” is “very different” from competing in gymnastics. Going into this season, there have been high expectations for Biles, who won four gold medals and one bronze at the Rio Olympics. She follows in the footsteps of her Olympic teammates Alyson Raisman and Laurie Hernandez, who won last season’s competition. And it’s expected that Biles’s athleticism, lifelong dedication to training and rehearsing, as well as her ability to perform under pressure, will give her an edge during Season 24 of “Dancing With The Stars.”
After Biles’ routine, Carrie Ann Inaba said of the Olympian and Farber, “You are the power couple.” Len Goodman said he loved the performance and the content. He added, “That was crisp and clean… That was the dance of the night!” Meanwhile, Julianne Hough noted, “That was amazing… “You’re the whole package.” And Bruno Tonioli expressed, “You are so deliciously lovely.” “Well done,” he further exclaimed.
For her first dance, Biles and Farber received the high score of 28 out of 40. Check out the video below of Biles and Farber’s tango to Tritonal and Cash Cash’s “Untouchable” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.”
