Turns Out ‘Harry Potter’ Star Rupert Grint Is a Hufflepuff, and He Is Not Pleased
Even the most accomplished of celebrities have insecurities, and Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has recently discovered a new one: He’s a Hufflepuff!
After taking Pottermore’s Sorting Hat test, Grint was reportedly disappointed to discover he was a Hufflepuff. Despite years of hardcore Gryffindoring as Ron Weasley, running amok and battling baddies, he’d been sorted into the milder, softer house.
“[I was] a little bit disappointed to be honest,” the actor told Vulture of the discovery. “That’s just not the coolest one, is it? Yeah, it is a really clever algorithm.”
Come on now, Grint, buck up a bit. Hufflepuffs are badass. As a matter of fact, the house was home to such respectable characters as the beastily accomplished Newt Scamander, the legendarily Pattinsonian Cedric Diggory, and the equal parts courageous and fetching Nymphadora Tonks.
Let’s not forget that HP writer J.K. Rowling herself has hailed Hufflepuff as the place to be.
“We should all want to be Hufflepuffs,” she told SnitchSeeker.com in 2012.
Pretty sure the creator of this fantastic world gets the final say, guys.
Grint, 28, currently stars in Sky Vision’s Sick Note, a comedy about a man who is falsely diagnosed with a fatal disease, and gets too wrapped up in the special treatment to share the good news with friends.
