Season 7 of ‘American Horror Story’ Will Tackle the 2016 Election
It looks like American Horror Story is about to get political.
On Wednesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, AHS creator Ryan Murphy revealed that Season 7 of the FX anthology horror series would focus on the 2016 presidential election. Yes, you read that right.
“I don’t have a title,” Murphy said, “but the season that we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through.” When asked whether Donald Trump could potentially be a character, Murphy replied, “Maybe.” Hmmm, inerrressting.
Though details about the upcoming election-themed season remain scarce, the topic definitely lends itself easily to horror. So far, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson are the only two cast members confirmed to return.
Murphy’s reveal also makes us wonder if that ambiguous teaser FX released shortly after the conclusion of AHS: Roanoke has anything to do with the upcoming seventh season.
We anxiously await Donald Trump’s tweet on the matter.
